Introducing to Documentaries

The documentary " Storm " is about a Middle School kid going to school, but his life wasn't as any other life. He was bulled everyday and had to put up with it. But at the end of the documentary the kid killed himself because he couldn't put up with it any more. Something they used to make this documentary was, Actors (Kids), They came up with the story, and decide where they did want to shout the documentary. Some ingredients and elements that I noticed in the film where that getting bully is not the best thing in the world and sometimes kids commit suicide. 2/6% kids commit suicide every year.One element that I really noticed in the film was when , the mother of the kid was getting bulled in school and she say n the newspaper that they are having a committee for parents to join and help kids not get bulled, but when the mother of the child told the dad to join, he didn't really seem to care so much about is but also, when he found out what was happening to his kid he started to care but along it it was to late. At the beginning of the film they introduce what was the film about, That what I noticed. I really didn't find a favorite part in the documentary because, the film was true life and you can really see some kids committing suicides in the world. If I was to make this film what I've would of better was the acting and more scenes in the documentary.

Short Story Intoduction....

She hurtle up the stair trying to find a place to hide from the beast. I've been going through this since I was in High school and I can't handle it anymore. Yumerlin has been going through a lot, after she has hooked up with the New Counter back from the football team, Randy. But the fact that everything change when she became his girlfriend. Yumerlin has not been going to school for the passed weeks and has not been looking like she has been looking before. I was really worried. Randy, the New head counter back from the football and Yumerlin had hooked up in the Home Coming Dance last month, but since then Yumerlin doesn't look like the old Yumerlin.
Every time, i get the time to see her i always notice something very strange. Yumerlin used to be one of my good friend and I really want to find out what is going on with her.

Sonnet 29 by William Shakespears

The sonnet poem "Sonnet 29" made by the famous poem writer William Shakespeare had changed and influence a lot of people around the world. The theme of "Sonnet 29" written by William Shakespeare is about being lonely in life and about how life is and it better on being alone in life then having to through thing with other people. The poem "Sonnet 29" , I can relate to my life because sometimes I think to myself that life is better on to being lonely but then you realize that you always need someone in life to be there with you. I can connect this poem to a lot of other sonnets.One sonnet that I can connect to the "Sonnet 29" is a sonnet called "The sonnet-ballad" by Gwendolyn Brooks. These two sonnet poems can relate because both poems, are talking about being lonely in life, but the poem "The sonnet-ballad" is talking about someone leaving out of there life and the "Sonnet 29" is talking about just being lonely. What I can say about the poem "Sonnet 29" is that a lot of people relate to it. A former old men named, Daniel McCall, the aged of 82 and he says that during his whole life he has related to the sonnet "Sonnet 29" because every time he has to think about doing something or a hard time in life he would read the poem to himself and it will help him. Daniel McCall was high school and he had to memorize a poem and he picked, "Sonnet 29'' and that when everything started. He was in World War 2 and he would always keep the poem in mind to remember things and thinks things though.

What this poem is about is a girl named Sarah Cythina that she never like took out the garbage and when the garbage got big and messy and faniliy notice that it was time to take out the garbage.One Hyperbole that I notice in the poem was, "The garbage reach from New York City to the Golden Gate."What the poet is trying to say about the garbage reaching the garbage from New York to Golden Gate is that the garbage got so big and ugly and it didn't now what to do. The poet, Shel Silver stein uses hyperbole in this poem because she is trying experience how ugly the garbage got and how lazy the girl is to something so simple.

Poetry Respones Bronx Masquerade By Nikki Grimes " Chankara Troup

What I can infer about the poem in the book, Chankara Troupe is that the girl Chankara is going to a lot with her boyfriend. He abuses her and does bad things to her. The best word that I will pick to describes Chankara and the issues that she is going through, is anger, depressing thing and she doesn't want to go through the same thing that he sister is going through. What I think the meaning of the poem is depressing and sad. I going to say that it more depressing then sad because, she going through what she's going through because she doesn't stop it. Just like her sister. Her sister is going through bad situation right know because has been hurt and heartbroken because of her sister boyfriend. What I think about the situation that her big sister is going through is not dissevering to her because her big sister dissever better then what she gets. And also has just been through what her sister is going through too with her boyfriend. Nobody dissevers to get hit by nobody. The meaning of this whole poem is that love that involves hitting and punching is not true lover.

Poetry Respones " Bronx Masquerade By Nikki Grimes"

What I think about the character, Tyrone so far is that he has a lot in mind but, he experience himself no by telling people, he experience him in poetry.What inference the character is poem and doing his own poetry. What the character poems reveal about him is how is is and the things that go on in his life, For example, the poem Attendance that the character did (Tyrone) did in the book was about how some people don't come to school and how when the teacher ask for them they are there. The word that best word that describes is confused about what he wants in his life and also, careless about school. The meaning of the book "Bronx Masquerade" is about kids (teenager) just talking about the real world and what they go through to be somebody or be somebody, but not just in a story telling way in poem, so they could show more feeling through what they are going through. I can connect to this book and poem to my life, because all teenager go through bad and goods thing, but through what i been going through is bad just like the character in the book. Also, as I mention early the poem "Attendance"because I don't have that good of attendance and really bad lateness, but am working on it =).

"Stopping by Woods on a Snowy Evening" by Robert Frost (1874-1963)

The mood that the poet creates in the poem is disappointment. He creates disappointment because he is tried of life. A poet device that the poet Robert Frost is AB AB rhyme.Robert Frost ended the poem repeating the same line, "And miles to go before I sleep,And miles to go before I sleep", they is not a long way for him to go to sleep(die). What I can infer about the reader feeling, Robert Frost is that he just want to be alone and is not very confident about him self and just want to g to sleep.

"Do Not Go Gentle Into the Night" By Dylan Thomas

The meaning to the poem " Do Not Go Gentle Into the night" is to not allow your self into death. The mode in the poem that the poet creates is sadness. He creates sadness because since in the poem it says to not go gentle into the night, he is trying to say to not always turst the night and be safe. The poet uses repetition in this poem because the poet is trying to get to a point on the poem . The device that the poet uses is repetition , and free verse. The meaning of the device that the poet uses is that he wants to wants to get to the point in the poem and he is anger alos he is wants to show the reader that he doesn't want tot die.

Glass By Ellen Hopkins

` The book Glass By Ellen Hopkins is a very outstanding book. The book is about a girl name Kristina Snow and she has been going so much .When she was in High School and the age of 15 she was rape. In the continuation of the book Impulse is the book called Glass.The book, Glass picks up a year later.She lives with her mother and works at a 7–11. Depressed about her post-baby figure, she goes back on speed to lose weight. Her mother kicks her out and gains custody of the baby. She continues to spiral to the last page, which sets readers up for a third novel. Kristen goes through slot with her friends ex- boyfriends , former boyfriend and having a kid. Kristen that she has made a lot of mistakes and wants to change . But she can't because of the people she hangs out with( bad influence). Kristen then notice that she wishes that she never had to let go of her ex, because he was a good person. Her former boyfriend abuses her and got her pregnant and that's was is distorting her life. I haven't got far in the book, but i will keep ya updated.

Inaugural Poem" Praise Song for the day" By:Elizabeth Alexander

What I think the title for the inaugural poem, "Praise Song for the Day" means that we should be thankful for everyone that made in change in the passed history, like Mr.Luther King, Malcolm X and many more. We should thank them because that what made Barack Obama be the first African-American President in all time. This poem made me feel is every generous for what we have today and thankful for all the help we are going to have and also the bad thing that happen back then and because of the hero back then we have the better future."I know there’s something better down the road.We need to find a place where we are safe.We walk into that which we cannot yet see", Elizabeth Alexander said, I like this quote from the poem because it talks about hope and love and that's what Obama campaign is all about. The poetic device that the poet uses in this poem is free verse. This poem relates to Obama in his life and the inauguration because it all about hope and love and that what we need in this to make a big change. The theme of this is Hope, Change. This poem relates to something in our life which means the future because the poem relates to Obama and Obama relates to us because he the future of us.
